Client: Molly Ray Parfums
Services: branding, collateral, packaging
Molly Ray reached out as she was preparing to grow her boutique parfum brand. She wanted to refine her logo and develop it into a brand identity that would carry her forward as she leveled up her packaging and even opened a storefront in the Pioneer Square neighborhood of Seattle.
I retained the signature "M" from her original logo, and developed out the logo suite and brand to reflect a classic yet modern look. A deep indigo and blush were selected as the brand's core colors, with four supporting colors for each scent family.
With sustainability in mind, I worked with Molly Ray to source bottles that allowed for smaller quantities, with the possibility for reuse in the future.

Once the initial packaging was finalized, Molly hired a specialist to help her through exporting cosmetics to Canada and France, including labeling requirements and translation, and I designed a set of bilingual packaging with French and English.

With 12 scents in 3 sizes, English and bilingual labels, and special editions, this project resulted in over 80 different packaging combinations. I designed a set of labels that would work for both the bottles and retail boxes. Boxes were printed with all the information that was shared across all products per size, while the labels were unique to each scent. This approach allowed for flexibility and avoided a large stock of boxes.
